We are recruiting/hiring two Lighting Technicians in our TX facility - Gemini

This position will be located at the Gemini Live Events LLC facility in Dallas, TX

The Warehouse Technician- Lighting is an hourly non-exempt position
  • Wage = $18 to $20/hour depending on experience
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits are offered the first day of the month following employment
  • Ancillary benefits, and all paid time off (Vacation/Sick/holidays) is offered at 90 days.

Warehouse Technician – Lighting

Position Summary/Objective: The Warehouse Technician - Lighting is responsible for the day-to-day activities and the overall operation and maintenance of audio, lighting, and video gear. This role will have a primary responsibility for lighting equipment and orders but may be assigned to other disciplines and departments as needed.

Essential Function of the Warehouse Technician - Lighting : While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.

1. Accurately load and unload trucks for shows in a timely and safe manner.
2. Manage warehouse inventory and equipment.
3. Maintain quality control of gear; inspect, construct, and maintain, all equipment as
needed.
4. Complete and submit all required paperwork according to company policies.
5. Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies necessary for shows and warehouse operations.
6. Facilitate shipping and receiving.
7. Maintain the warehouse and grounds in a safe, neat and organized manner.
8. Effectively check-in and out shows/orders and communicate shortages & damaged/missing
gear to manager(s)
9. Assist with physical inventories and unloading trucks of incoming product/gear.
10. Participate in training opportunities, to include advancement of specialized discipline and
cross-training.

Required Education and Experience for the Warehouse Technician - Lighting
1. Ability to follow safety protocols without exception.
2. Knowledge of basic warehouse operations, including facility and grounds maintenance.
3. Basic skills in the safe operation of standard hand and power tools.
4. Forklift experience required.
5. Experience managing inventory.
6. Knowledge of the proper way to pack a truck and safely secure the load.
7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to work under frequently tight deadlines with accuracy.
9. Ability to quickly solve problems and issues.
10. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions of supervisors and communicate openly and
clearly with others.

Work Environment of the Warehouse Technician - Lighting

This job operates in a warehouse and an office environment. This role involves frequent communication with internal employees and external contacts-via phone, email and any other professional means of communication necessary. The person in this role will frequently and routinely work in a warehouse where temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold. This person in this role will routinely be exposed to loud noises from both machinery and product.


Physical Demands of the Warehouse Technician - Lighting


The person in this role must be able to both move about the warehouse frequently, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb, and at times, remain stationary depending on the task or the shift of the day. This person must move about occasionally inside the office to access office machinery and to have routine contact with other facility individuals. The person in this role must effectively interact with employees, obtain information, attend meetings as needed to complete the essential job duties. The person in this role must have the ability to move up to 100 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs frequently.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work of the Warehouse Technician - Lighting


This is a full time position. Hours of work are typically an 8 hour day with breaks and lunches given per compliance with federal and state laws. This person in this role will typically work an 8 am to 5 pm schedule, except during high volume periods when evening and weekend work may be required. This position at some times will require overtime. There may be flexible work schedules implemented due to business needs. OT will be paid in accordance with local, state and federal laws.


Travel
This position requires some travel, up to 25%. Travel may be mixed - local and outside the local area and overnight.


Preferred Education and Experience
High School Degree or equivalent is required
