Responsibilities

Position Summary:
The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks in the kitchen and cafeteria.
Core Duties:
  • Delivering patient nourishments and floor stock to nursing departments doctors lounge and surgery
  • Stocking patient cold food cart
  • Working patient trayline
  • Delivering patient meals to patient rooms
  • Picking up soiled trays
  • Washing all patient cafeteria and catering dishes and utensils
  • Stocking cafeteria dishes and utensils
  • Performing general sanitation duties
  • Putting away groceries paper supplies cleaning agents and frozen foods
  • Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all kitchen area
The incumbent may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers point of sale devices applications supporting credit card transactions and reports or other documents containing credit card information) from single transactions or a single card at a time.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of:
    • General therapeutic diets
    • Proper food handling techniques
    • Proper operation of food service dishwashing equipment
    • Proper food service sanitation techniques
    • Proper techniques of storing preparing holding and service of perishable meats dairy products fresh produce and frozen foods
    • Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with food preparation proper food handling procedures and sanitation techniques preferred

Pay Range
$24.96 - $28.42 /hour
