Sr Production Control Manager – Reading, PA
Hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday thru Friday

The Senior Production Control Manager will develop, monitor, and control the production planning process to ensure optimization and customer satisfaction. They are responsible for providing staff with guidance, direction, and training as it relates to related functions of production scheduling and data collection.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service departments in the execution of customer order demands.
  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of workflow for each department and operations according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Ensure all parties are fully cognizant of production status and that scheduling requirements are communicated to all concerned parties.
  • Participates in demand forecasting and relating to production capacity and material requirements.
  • Monitors MRP analytics; employs methods to manage and improve the process.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments.
  • Ensure that all new products are properly scheduled to meet established target dates.
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize job orders to meet customer order due dates.
  • Analyze Bills of Materials for accuracy.
  • Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
  • Perform job responsibilities and tasks in compliance to Company policies, procedures and safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university and 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Ability read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong MRP and Microsoft Excel and Office experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
