Automobile Salvage Appraiser - Title Clerk

This position is located in Mt Prospect – A northwest suburb of Chicago.

Job Description:

• Control inventory of salvage total loss vehicles using Excel spreadsheet
• Secure Guarantee of Title and Copy of Title
• Negotiate to sell Vehicles at the highest price possible at the Copart auction or other favorable alternative
• Manage checks received and collections from Copart Auto Auction
• Ensure salvage records are maintained in the ImageRight Claim software system
• Provide Power of Attorney as necessary to sell vehicle
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of auto insurance claim work experience preferred
• Experience with vehicle history searches, titles, and liens
• Good automotive knowledge especially an idea of vehicle values
• Understand salvage process
• Good judgment
• Knowledge of total loss claim practices
• Proficiency with technology, primarily Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

The Position:

• Regular Full Time (40hrs per week) 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, Occasional Sat
