Cannonsport Marina is currently seeking a Dock Attendant to join our team!

Friday - Monday (8:00 am to 5:00pm)

Responsible for the weekend operations of the property. Performs a variety of duties which include cleaning, trash removal, pool vacuuming, fueling boats, tying up boats, taking reservations for transient boats, ringing up sales in ship store, handling incoming phone and vhf radio calls, and checking out transient customers.


Essential Functions:

  • Follow a morning routine designed to insure a clean and safe facility. This includes taking trash from dock and cleaning restroom facilities.
  • Walking the dock checking for unannounced boats arriving at marina. Checking for leaky faucets, misplaced power cords, improperly tied up boats, etc.
  • Being attentive to customer’s needs. Fueling boats upon request, assisting arriving boat by helping them tie up, pumping out holding tanks on boats.
  • Vacuuming pool and policing the property for trash.
  • Ringing up sales in ship store, taking reservations over the phone, checking boats out of the slip and settling customer’s accounts with credit card payments.
  • Assisting residents with any issues with their unit by finding the proper channel to resolve the problem.
  • Working with a QuickBooks based POS system and Marina reservations system.
  • Properly communicating with all staff members to ensure consistency of service.

These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position.

  • Associate must be able to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Associate must be able to lift and/or drag up to 50 lbs.
  • Associate must be able to stand, sit, and drive.
  • Associate must be able to walk and climb stairs.
  • Associate must be able to work in an outdoor/heat exposure environment with loud noise.
  • Associate must be able to reach above the shoulder.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Basic computer skills included but not limited to typing, internet search required. Experience with QuickBooks a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
