Our client is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Discovery Engineer for a 6-12 month contract. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for defining customer requirements for deployment of new business applications, supporting process redesign, and providing training to users to facilitate rapid adoption of applications. They will serve as a liaison between the business and IT solutions to ensure delivery of highly effective solutions that improve IT user experience. This position is 100% remote and plan on working standard MST time zone hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and configure ServiceNow discovery tool.
• Define and propose discovery architecture for complex environments.
• Understand Discovery, MID Server Architecture, Probes, Sensors, Identifiers & Business rules.
• Support and discover foundational CI data for the CMDB.
• Troubleshoot issues with discovery (Windows, Unix, Network devices, Storage, Databases, Cloud Servers).
• Participate in internal or customer meetings as required, adding value as and when required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business/MIS, Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow Discovery scanning experience along with CMDB.
• 2+ years’ experience implementing and supporting specific cloud technologies like Azure and AWS.
• 2+ years’ experience in Java or PowerShell scripting.
• 4+ years’ experience on building or maintaining Discovery patterns.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Apply rigorous waterfall and agile project management approach on assignments.
• Translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
• Ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent customer focus.
• Conveys information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse, global teams.
• Ability to apply Lean/Six Sigma to ensure highly efficient processes.
• Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Delivering "fast and right" results in a matrixed environment.
• Understand discovery tool’s role/importance from SAM, HAM, and Application Modelling perspective.
• Good communication, written and documentation skills to gather requirements from customers, process owners, and cross-platform teams.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure/Networking is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management. ITIL V3 foundation is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
