A growing Dermatology Clinic is looking for an exceptional, experienced Registered/Certified Medical Assistant, where dermatology experience is preferred. This is a part time Tues, Wed, Thur (24-26 hrs) position. Our MAs must be committed to providing unequaled Patient Care; must have a "Whatever It Takes" work ethic; must be able to multitask and keep up with a fast paced and demanding work environment; and must understand that while individual excellence is expected, they will work as an integral part of our Patient Care team alongside other MAs and our Providers. Our MAs work hard, are involved in all stages of treatment to include assisting in surgeries. Being very comfortable with computers is essential and hands-on experience with an Electronic Medical Record is highly desirable. This is a non-smoking, fragrance free, drug free environment. Professional references are required and passing a comprehensive background check and drug screen is a condition of employment.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Prepare exam rooms for procedures and exams including setting up sterile and non-sterile procedure trays and setting up the exam tables
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including basic patient monitoring and handling non-sterile and sterile supplies
  • Maintain clinic equipment including cleaning the equipment after procedures and preparing instrument trays for sterilization
  • Clean exam rooms and surgery rooms after exams and procedures, including disposal of non-hazardous materials (patient drapes, etc.)
  • Room patients
  • Respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program is required at the time of application

Must be willing and able to:

  • Be a team player
  • Sit and stand for long periods of time, frequently walk, and bend/stoop, as well as execute repetitive motions
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience providing medical assistance in a Derm office
  • Experience scheduling patients for appointments using electronic software
  • Experience setting up sterile and non-sterile procedure trays and medical procedure rooms

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and a fast learner
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of and the ability to follow established work procedures and standard guidelines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
  • Must have the COVID-19 Vaccine
