We are a teaching-friendly animal hospital seeking an enthusiastic and motivated receptionist to join our team! Experience is preferred and applicants must be willing to take initiative, learn quickly, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer multi-line phone system
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain written and computer records
- Check clients in and out
- Take payments
- Discuss office protocols with clients
- Willing to help technicians and kennel staff when needed
- Receptionist experience in the veterinary field is preferred.
- Compassionately greeting all incoming clients and helping them with their pets
- Record keeping
- Correspondence with clients
- Assisting administrators in office tasks
- Run reports and make calls with reminders and payments.
Applicants must:
- Have a customer service background
- Ability to do basic math calculations and comfortable using excel
- Punctuality to scheduled shifts
- Willing to learn all aspects of the job in a quickly and efficiently manner
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Taking Initiative

- Responding well to constructive criticism
- Having great communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds of weight and should be free from any prior back injuries.
Salary: Hourly (based on experience)

Schedule:
Employees are not expected to work every holiday or weekend, but are expected to work some in order to give everyone on the team fair breaks.
- Monday to Friday (8a-7p)
- Rotating weekend availability (8a-7p)
- Holiday availability (open every holiday except Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day)
Experience:
- Veterinary: 1 year (Required)
- Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
