What is your purpose today?

The Director of Whole Family Programming is responsible for overseeing a collection of multigenerational and whole family initiatives. This position works in service of the agency mission by providing parents, TOA programs, and the agency/partners with the skills, leadership, and technical assistance to effectively support families in reaching their goals and thriving. This position will work with the Program VP to create an innovative way to serve families. This is a wonderful opportunity to join work on the ground floor. The Whole Family Program Director will help to create and implement programming that serves the child and the family simultaneously. This position will also be part of statewide Community of Practice and will lead three other Two-Generational projects.

This is a Full-Time, 40 Hour/Week (negotiable) salaried position with the home base in South Portland, Maine.

Qualifications:
  • LCSW or LCPC preferred or related clinical graduate degree required; a clinical conditional license is required.
  • Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders treatment and resources required.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervision experience required, including oversight of Individual Plan development.
  • Three years’ experience developing and leading social service program(s) preferred.
  • Supervisory skills must include the following abilities: addressing strengths and challenges, monitoring for signs of job stress and providing resources when needed; modeling and discussing ethical practice; providing support and encouragement in the learning context, educating on administrative structure/expectations, managing risk.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict management skills required.
  • Excellent organization skills, initiative, and leadership ability required, including ability to create a team environment and to facilitate team decision making.
  • Skills to manage data collection system, develop and submit reports on time.
  • Computer proficiency is a requirement.
  • Contracts that have Rider D: Must be able to able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings but is not a primarily an essential job responsibility.

Pay is competitive and will be based on experience and education.
