We are currently seeking a part-time to join our special events team at Little Black Pearl. This position requires a candidate with strong attention to detail skills and can work on-site for up to 25 hours per week. The funding for this position is from a grant, so applicants must be between the ages of 18-24.

Job Title: Prep/Line Cook

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Job Summary

Accurately and skillfully prepare nutritious meals according to the weekly prep schedule, as well as any in-house orders that arise throughout the shift.

Primary Activities & Responsibilities

Train with the Chef for your position. Receive and seek follow up training. . Demonstrate proficient knife skills . Maintain a well-managed station (clean and prepped as specified) . Carefully follow the weekly prep schedule on the wall . Carefully follow the daily station prep list and see the Manager for review . Prepare full menu of lunch items and place in the display case by 10:00 am . Consistently prepare dishes to the exact specifications of Chef . Clean dishes throughout the shift. Minimize dirty dishes in service . Keep juicers rinsed and sanitized between uses. Always clean before making the concentrates . Leave the station clean and ready for the next cook— NO OPEN ORDERS!

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, and the pay rate is competitive.
