General:

o Is secondarily responsible for all aspects associated with the pastry department at

Cypress Social, Petit & Keet and PK Catering @ Cypress Social, and reports directly to the Executive Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, General manager & Assistant General Manager. This includes but is not limited to the following:

o Dessert standards, quality, and consistency

o Ensures the station and surrounding areas are sanitized and clean in

accordance with company standards and health code regulations

o Kitchen organization, product rotation, and routine maintenance

o Assists in the coordination and direction of all dessert preparation, from

prep through service

o Stays current on dessert and pastry industry trends

o Assist in developing new recipes for seasonal menus

o Identifies new culinary techniques and presentations

o Communicates any necessary repairs for kitchen equipment and

appliances

o Ensures all pastry department staff are operating within the parameters set forth by

ownership including the following:

o Prep consistency, identity, and scope

o Maintains standards of desserts set forth by the Executive Pastry Chef, Executive Chef,

General Manager and Ownership

o Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.

o Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.

Daily Shift Responsibilities:

o Ensures the pastry department is operating at its optimal level and takes appropriate

actions if it is not

o Performs any role necessary to ensure we maintain our standards of service on a given

shift

o Executing pastry orders for catered events and accommodating special requests.

o Keeping records relating to deliveries, dessert transfers, and production levels.
