Penny Lick Ice Cream Company is an award winning retail and wholesale ice cream business in Westchester County. We are a peanut, tree nut and sesame free brand that offers seasonal and classic flavors year round. We are seeking team members who are looking for a creative and informative experience in a growing company.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Penny Lick is looking for a part time pastry cook to work out of our Hastings on Hudson location, with opportunities to also work at our soon to open Mamaroneck location. The right candidate will have some commercial kitchen production experience. Ice cream knowledge/experience is preferred but we are happy to train.

YOU ARE:

· Familiar with commercial kitchen work

· Certified in food safety and food allergens, or willing to be certified within three months of start

· Comfortable baking with convention ovens and have an understanding of baking temperature

· Able to ice cakes

· A team player with strong organization skills

YOU HAVE:

Education & Experience:
· At least one year in a pastry or commercial kitchen
· Be passionate about the food industry
· Strong organizational and decision-making skill, along with the ability to recognize what needs to be prioritized
· Ability to work shifts up to 8 hours while standing or walking to perform essential functions
· Ability to lift 40lbs
· Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with management and team members

• $19+/hour
