Job Summary:

The Operations Lead works with the Manager to plan, lead and direct daily operations of the Cashmere Mailing House.

Job Level:

Staff position with oversite responsibilities. Reports to the Manager.

Job Status:

Non-exempt, full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform and provide oversight and direction for all processes and duties to ensure efficient and effective operations.

  • Assist with direction of daily activities of team members.
  • Suggest and assist with the development of improved processes.
  • Understand priorities and assist with redirection of resources, as needed.

Provide exceptional client support; act as the “face” of the Cashmere Mailing House including management of client-provided mailing lists, client follow-up, providing timely estimates, and facilitating mailing lists purchases.

Assist with administrative duties including answering phones, creating and maintaining email lists in Outlook, performing invoicing using QuickBooks, creating/managing calendars for meetings and marketing schedules.

Operate and maintain high-level office equipment including high-speed mailing equipment for tabbing, folding, and inserting, sealing machines, postage machines, copy and fax machines.

Assist with marketing activities including email campaigns and social media marketing.

  • Suggest marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with content development.
  • Assist with distribution and/or posting.

Trouble-shooting technical and equipment issues.

Coordinate and/or perform client materials pick up and deliveries.

Forklift operation as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies:

1-2 years related experience

Proficient with MS Office Suite

Education, Certifications and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required

Valid WA-state driver’s license and proof of insurability required

AA in business administration preferred

Forklift certification preferred

Working Conditions:

This job operates in an open-space office environment. It requires the routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets as well as special mailing equipment. This job requires the ability to sit, stand, lift 50+ lbs., push, pull, reach, and move about the office, ascend/descend stairs, operate office productivity machinery, occasionally ascend/descend stairs, and constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Starting Wage:

$23.50-$26.00/hour depending upon experience and qualifications.

Reimbursement for mileage if using own vehicle for travel to perform duties related to the job.
