DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Wellsite Operator position requires the hands-on operation of all wellsite solution equipment, developing a familiarity with bulk truck and wellsite operations, and the administration of wellsite reporting functions. NexMile operates in various oil fields around the
United States, and as such, this position could be based in New Mexico, North Dakota, Wyoming and/or Texas.

The wellsite receives product by bulk trucks and efficient handling of these products is essential to professional wellsite solutions, operations, and quality control. The way trucks are expedited, customers are handled, and qualities are ensured are key functions of this position.

A positive attitude, wellsite operation skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to be a team player in a small cross-functional employee group are essential elements for a successful wellsite operation. The wellsite has a team commitment to operating in the safest and most environmentally responsible manner following all known safety laws, regulations, and policies. Providing the highest level of quality and customer service to our customers is a priority at the wellsite. Maintaining wellsite equipment, good housekeeping in all work areas, and operating equipment safely is vital to efficient wellsite operations.

Offloading Trucks:
  • Inspect equipment prior to operating
  • Check DEF/Fuel levels prior to operating equipment
  • Check engine oil and coolant when equipment is not being utilized.
  • Check/Verify Sand ticket for Well Site, Sand Type and Box designator
  • Must wear respirator while offloading sand trucks
  • Trucks must be chalked when offloading to prevent rolling or accidental movement
  • Must not leave the Viper unattended while trucks are being offloaded
  • Keep offload area clean and free of excess sand/trash. Relocate spilled sand to the edge of location
  • Grease the conveyors once every shift or more as needed
Running Sand:
  • Do not run the hopper dry
  • Clean conveyor connection points and areas in/around the conveyors to include the blender hopper area and relocate to the edge of location
  • Grease the conveyor bearings every third stage or more if needed
  • Send Well Site Updates Via email for stage start/end times and box inventory’s
  • Keep the trailer clean and swept out before the end of each shift
  • Inspect bearings, rollers, and belts for deficiencies
Sand Coordinating
  • Fill out daily JSA and review it with crew members. Have all visitors review and sign your JSA.
  • Check/Verify Sand ticket for Well Site, Sand Type, Truck/Trailer number by highlighting and initialing information. Designate the box for offloading with load count (Example: “Box 1; 1 of 8”)
  • Send status updates for the well to include, stage pauses, equipment failures, NPT times and any other pertinent information
  • Document all loads via “Truck log” and completely fill out all information on the sheet
  • Communicate with the Frac Engineer and Company Man regularly and update them on any status changes.
  • Perform regular walk arounds of location and check conveyors while stages are in progress checking for hydraulic leaks, excessive sand leaks, belt alignments and bearings
  • Assist other WSO’s offloading trucks and running sand when needed.
  • Keep the truck clean. Do not utilize the bed of the truck as a trash can. Empty all trash prior to leaving location daily.
REQUIREMENTS

Preferred EXPERIENCE
  • 1+ years’ experience in the oilfield and /or on the wellsite.
Minimum Requirements
  • While it is uncommon, you may be assigned to work one or more hitches in North Dakota/Wyoming when needed.
  • You are required to have reliable transportation to your scheduled housing location.
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.
  • Must be able to understand and effectively communicate in English.
  • Must be able to consistently work shifts lasting more than 12 continuous hours.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICPHYSICAL
  • Able to work at heights, in enclosed or confined spaces, near water, work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Able to physically lift 100 lb.
  • Able to stand long periods, sitting, bending, twisting, and climbing.
  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking.

PPE WHILE ON LOCATION (regardless of task assigned on location)-
  • Safety Glasses Tinted/Clears (Tinted are not permitted while operating during the night shift)
  • Half Face Respirator (Gators, bandanas, and other face coverings are not permitted)
  • FR outer garments are mandatory
  • H2S Monitor
  • Hard Hat
  • Boots (Safety toe, Steel toe, or composite are acceptable)
