Actively recruiting for 1st shift Material Handlers in Vernon Hills, IL! This is a temp to hire opportunity, previous experience is required.

1st Shift: 5:00AM - 2:00PM; M-F plus OT as required

Pay: $19.00 -$20.00 an hour based on experience

SUMMARY:

• Inspect, sort, store and perform data entry for all core, inbound part/unit shipments, and returned goods according to established TS procedures
• Make boxes, and identify proper packaging containers for shipment
• Pick and pack assigned parts according to shop order pick tags or use of RF hand held device.
• Support further shop order activity by picking parts for shop unit builds, fulfillment of Kan-Ban systems and completing return to stock transactions.
• As needed, transfer stock physically and electronically using computer and/or RF guns.
• Pick and pack customer orders by unit/parts according to order notes.
• Weigh, route, stage and load freight according to order notes and carrier shipping instructions.
• Operate forklifts or hand carts.
• Support safety and good housekeeping in the performance of Distribution Center duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Minimum 2 year previous experience in a warehouse role
• Minimum 5 year previous experience driving forklift using sit down and stand up reach truck.
• basic math and equipment measurement skills
• good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Repetitive heavy lifting may be required
• All candidates who receive an offer of employment will be subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Reach truck forklift: 5 years (Required)
• Sit down forklift: 5 years (Required)
