Summary:

The Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Community Schools programs at the school and provide direction for all Lifelong Learning Enrichment contractors, School Age Enrichment and Preschool Enrichment staff.


The Community Schools (CS) Lifelong Learning Enrichment (LLL) Supervisor, under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Director of Community Schools, is responsible for supervising onsite Lifelong Learning Enrichment programs at assigned schools.The Supervisor will be the point of contact and liaison between the school staff and Community Schools and is responsible for operations, student and parent daily experience, and health and safety concerns and needs. The Supervisor communicates with LLL families at pick up and drop off about their student experience on a daily basis and ensures that all CS quality standards are being met. The Supervisor serves as the lead staff for all Lifelong Learning student health needs including medication administration for all Lifelong Learning students in the building.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily onsite operation of Community Schools Lifelong Learning Enrichment programs in the school.
  • Coordinate the use of space with any other BVSD groups that may be in the building.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for parents, students, school staff and central office CS staff. Supervisor will respond to phone calls, emails and written correspondence.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to the Assistant Director of Community Schools and site-based personnel in the school. Provide relevant resources and/or registration materials for staff, families and students.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Specialist and Assistant Director to ensure 504/ADA compliance for students with disabilities in LLL programs and promote a welcoming and supportive environment for culturally and linguistically diverse students.
  • Must attend safety and security, program, medication and first aid training as required by the district.
  • Administer first aid consistent with district training and emergency care guidelines. Maintain and implement care plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years experience working in a school setting or similar.
  • Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
  • Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
  • Possess CPR, First Aid certifications and medical delegation certificate or willing to obtain upon hire.


Preferred:

  • Minimum of two years college experience
  • Ability to mentor, communicate orally and written, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse educational backgrounds.
  • Supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Technology and computer proficiency in multiple software applications-(Google).

Salary Information:

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

  • Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule). BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process.
