Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)
is recruiting for Lead Hospital Custodians* who perform a variety of hospital custodial duties in an acute care hospital setting. Duties include maintaining assigned hospital departments and surroundings in a clean and orderly condition, and providing lead direction to Custodians and/or contract service providers.

Custodians assigned to ARMC Receive a differential for all hours worked as well as necessary protective equipment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Background:
Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background check which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history.

Work Schedule: Candidates musts be available to work all shifts; day, swing, night, rotating, holidays and weekends. Shift Differentials may apply.

Physical: This job may require frequent reaching, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighing 10 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and the ability to move 80 pound containers.

Environment: Working conditions involve exposure to chemicals, infectious materials, heat, and odors.

Vaccination Requirement
: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Minimum Requirements

Shift Availability: Must be available to work ALL SHIFTS (DAY, SWING, NIGHT, ROTATING, HOLIDAYS and WEEKEND) . Indicate availability on the Supplemental Questionnaire. You will not proceed further in the examination process if all shifts are not selected.

Experience:
One (1) year of custodial experience in the cleaning of office buildings, schools, hospitals, and/or large workshops, including mixing cleaning chemicals and solutions, cleaning offices, restrooms and fixtures, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, stripping, waxing, and using machines to buff floors.
NOTE: Custodial experience must be the primary responsibility of the job, and include use of appropriate cleaning solutions.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate at least one (1) year custodial experience in an acute care hospital including mixing cleaning chemicals and solutions, cleaning offices, restrooms and fixtures, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, stripping, waxing, and using machines to buff floors.
