Position Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist assists the Human Resources function within the company including the administration of personnel records, compliance with laws and regulations concerning employees, training, interviewing, special projects, etc.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Develop successful employee and business partnerships
  • Resolve basic to complex problems by leveraging business and HR knowledge as well as employee and business relationships
  • Anticipate business needs, think proactively and respond appropriately
  • Logically organize ideas on issues, develop thorough execution plans and drive process to successful implementation
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Act with a sense of urgency
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, 2 plus years of HR generalist experience, with strong leadership and hands-on capabilities in Employee Relations, Staffing, Client Service, and Performance Management or HS Diploma/GED and 5 plus years of HR generalist experience, with strong leadership and hands-on capabilities in Employee Relations, Staffing, Client Service, and Performance Management
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Ability to balance conflicting points of view, function effectively under pressure and demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness
  • Proficient with HRIS and Microsoft Office programs
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency
  • Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion
  • Track record of success working in a fast-paced, fluid business environment
  • Results-oriented
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master’s degree
  • PHR or SPHR
  • SHRM Certification
