Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Description:

The Environment Health Safety Project and Portfolio Management position is a key role in supporting the EHS strategy and execution. It l be responsible for the development and management of tools that enable the development, prioritization, tracking, metrics, and execution of the EHS strategy and tactics. The position will be responsible for reporting workload balancing, resource loading, status, and cost of the global EHS strategy by providing insights and analysis to help senior leadership plan and prioritize. This role will partner with key business stakeholders, including the EHS leadership and cross-functional partners. This role will ensure consistent implementation of initiatives intended to prevent injuries, protect the environment, and conserve natural resources. Collaborating with EHS and business leaders, this role will design and implement deployment strategies that support standardized and harmonized approaches across the New Consumer Health Company.

This role will be responsible for providing a quality review, governance, and oversight of the project deliverable and requirements. They will provide input to the overall program strategic delivery framework and drive updates on continuously improving the methodologies. They will also anticipate potential risks/program obstacles through an understanding of key business processes and the analysis of key program data.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Developing/managing tools and governance for successful prioritization and management of the EHS strategic plan, associated programs, and tactics

  • Working closely with EHS leadership, strategy stakeholders, and tactic owners to define project scope, milestones, deliverables, activities, budget, and resource requirements

  • Developing full-scale, integrated project plans

  • Leading enterprise EHS projects as assigned

  • Collaborating with the system and data team to develop consistent tools for visualization, actively monitor strategy status, schedule resourcing, and timelines

  • Establishing governance of project updates and performance management to ensure data quality and confidence in reporting tools.

  • Actively collaborating with quality strategy and project management to align tools, report and seek ongoing process improvements, alignment, and synergies to drive efficiency

  • Implementing and managing program changes and interventions to achieve program objectives

  • Building strong partnerships with functions and enabling support organizational leaders

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • University/Bachelor’s degree in project management, supply chain, engineering, science, management, or safety sciences

  • Minimum 6-8 years of EHS experience with proven successful performance

  • Strong compliance orientation with a focus on end-to-end global/regional process management

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations, ISO certifications, and EHS Management Systems

  • Demonstrated ability in managing metrics, trend analysis, and reporting

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Strong team player and positive attitude towards people

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to confidently present complex information in an easily understood manner

  • Travel: approximately 25%

Preferred Requirements:

  • An advanced degree in project management, supply chain, engineering, science, management or safety sciences

  • Six Sigma, FPX PL/Project Leader Certification

  • Experience in leading employee campaigns and initiatives

  • Technically and digitally savvy with analytical skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $88,000 to $142,600.
