The Compliance Officer is a member of JSI's Contracts and Compliance team reporting to the Contracts and Compliance Manager. The Contracts and Compliance Officer will support the Contracts and Compliance team and will assist in managing JSI/WEI’s investigatory response to allegations of misconduct, fraud, waste, and other compliance issues. The Contracts and Compliance Officer will track and manage incident reports in JSI/WEI’s case management system, EthicsPoint Case Management (EPCM). The Compliance Officer will support the investigation process to ensure timely response, reporting and resolution of reports. The Compliance Officer will support the planning and logistics for investigations as well as for training activities. The Compliance Officer will support stakeholder and management communications relating to fraud incident reports and investigation updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Support investigations of alleged misconduct, fraud, waste, and other issues to ensure reports are thoroughly investigated and reported to all required parties within a timely manner.
  • This includes: Support and coordinate the investigative activities of other team members and/or co-sourced/outsourced investigators;
  • Support the investigation throughout the investigation cycle, including initial inquiry/report, analysis, and final report writing;
  • Assist in investigative interviews and the taking of statements;
  • Assist in analyzing facts, determining findings and recommending corrective measures;
  • Support the drafting and submission of investigation notifications and reports to the Office of Inspector General, Contracting/Agreement Officer, or the funder designated office of compliance; Support the planning and coordination of logistics for investigations.
  • Act as EPCM Administrator and Case Manager:
  • Review all incoming incident reports and communicate the allegations to the Senior Manager, Fraud & Compliance Investigations;
  • Assist in the assignment of reports and the formation of incident response teams; Report and analyze macro-level case data for regular reporting to JSI/WEI Senior Management;
  • Track, manage, and record investigation details and outcomes; Upload and update documentation and information to EPCM system case records;
  • Ensure investigations are moving forward in a timely manner and case records are being updated.
  • Work closely with Senior Manager, Fraud & Compliance Investigations and VP of Contracts & Compliance to support improvements to the JSI/WEI Fraud and Accountability program and updates to the fraud investigation process.
  • Work with HR to support investigations of employee misconduct such as harassment, sexual harassment and sexual exploitation and abuse.
  • Support the development, roll-out and maintenance of policy and training materials related to the JSI/WEI Fraud and Accountability program and the fraud investigation process.
  • Support the planning and coordination of logistics for fraud and compliance trainings initiatives.
  • Provide general support to VP, Contracts & Compliance and Compliance team as needed.
  • Provide support to compliance implementation efforts, liaise with HR to implement organizational-wide training

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience with investigation related work, operations, audits, financial analysis, management and/or compliance, ideally in a program-based global environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in relevant field such as accounting, finance, business administration, international affairs, or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, project management, and prioritization skills. Strong writing skills and interviewing skills are also desired.
  • Dynamic team player with strong multicultural communication skills.

An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information.

  • A collaborative and flexible style with a strong customer service mentality.
  • Ability to work comfortably in the MS Office Suite applications, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Google applications, e.g. Google Docs, Google Drive.[/list]

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,371.00 - $58,681.00 per year
