Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Aviation Traffic Control Manager for our projects in North Texas. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented professionals that want to excel with us. We are a self-performing General Contractor based in Coppell, Texas. The ideal candidate will be respectful and courteous to the public, diligent in directing the traffic in order to maintain the safety of our employee-owners and the public, dependable and have a positive attitude. Training will be provided, and this is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the construction industry and who enjoys working outdoors.

Responsibilities:

  • On-call during non-working hours for notification regarding a site deficiency or incident.
  • Manage all traffic control staff on site.
  • Complete all required monthly, weekly, and daily reports.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at a company, site, and provincial level.
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of Aviation Traffic Management information, advice on interpretation of Airfield Regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities at the site level to promote safety and assist to resolve any issues of non-compliance.
  • Interact with owners and owner representatives as required on all safety issues.
  • Participate in all project planning meetings related to project work planning and scheduling to ensure planning processes include Airfield requirements.

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated with a passion for safety.
  • Aviation Traffic Control design experience an asset but not required.
  • CMAE Certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of all Airfield Operations and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Must have ample knowledge Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the job such as standing for long periods of time, kneeling, stooping, reaching hands in the air, etc.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to follow directions well
  • Must have an excellent attendance rate
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flagger Certification for Airfields
