Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Web/System Administrator - Unix in Patuxent River, MD. Position Type: Full-Time
Work Site: Patuxent River, MD
Work Location: This is a HYBRID position. Candidates must reside within 90 miles of Patuxent River, MD (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Initial training will be mostly virtual, but may require occasional on-site visits a few hours per week during the first few months. Additionally, evening/weekend/daily support on-site at Patuxent River (or telework, if authorized) will be required 1-3 days per month for patching, maintenance, code promotions, and/or urgent technical issues.

Essential Functions:

• Performs the installation, integration, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration management of websites and application systems hosted on Unix-based servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server and software issues.
• Provides direct support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, government entities and related internal and external teams
• Occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:
Required:

• Unix web/systems administration experience required.
• Installation/configuration of web and application server software required.
• Troubleshooting of server/software issues required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof of cert prior to interview).

Desired:

• Knowledge of DISA STIGS and Security Policies desired.

Security Clearance:
Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
