Water Operator II

The City of Lindsborg is now accepting applications for the position of Water Operator II. This position requires a KDHE Class II Water Operators Certificate or the ability to achieve the certificate within six months of the start of employment. The person in this position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the City’s wells and water distribution system. The position requires a working knowledge of water distribution systems, operation and maintenance of chlorine systems, repair of water mains, installation of services, and knowledge of wells, pumps, water towers, and electronic controls. The water department collects water samples for testing, maintains the fire hydrant flushing and valve exercise programs, and maintains the swimming pool as well as other duties deemed necessary.
