We have a Warranty Advisor opening at our Company Headquarters, located in Fridley, MN.

Job Description:

Working with customers who have a warranty issue and seeing their claim through the entire warranty process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Speak to various customers to quickly identify, diagnose and discuss repair options to mitigate customer downtime and repair costs. Provide customer with claim status updates.
  • Administer warranty activity based on the warranty policy as written, but understand customer relationships and be able to determine when a situation needs to be escalated.
  • Define and order repair parts where required.
  • Determine if plant inspections are required vs replacing or repairing in the field.
  • Review repair orders and approve expenses to be paid and discuss discrepancies with the customer.
  • Negotiate repair rates based on our published rates.
  • Communicate with production, engineering and purchasing regarding any issues related to defects in material and/or workmanship.
  • Maintain email, voicemail and any other lines of communication with the customer.
  • Upload photos, build files, travelers, customer invoices, repair orders and any other pertinent information to claim. Create and maintain detailed file /notes on warranty claims.
  • Assist in other warranty and/or sales activities as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance to installers.
  • Phones are manned 7am thru 5pm. Staffing is rotated on a revolving basis to cover late phones.

Physical Demands:

This job requires employee to sit at a desk and use hands to type and answer phones.

Work Environment:

The environment is primarily in an office setting. During certain times it may be necessary to be on the shop floor.

Minimum Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • previous experience working with warranty claims.
  • Minimum of 2 years technical engine experience, primarily in diesel troubleshooting
  • Even tempered with the ability to diffuse upset customers and work with different personality types
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including customer service and phone skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, email, internet, all-data, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
