EPAM Continuum is a consultancy that designs and develops new-to-the-world products and experiences for our clients by skillfully engaging the talents of design and development-oriented professionals with diverse, multi-disciplinary backgrounds, including architects, brand strategists, design strategists, business strategists, economists, psychologists, human factors, electrical, mechanical and software engineers, and graphics, industrial, interaction and digital designers.

EPAM Continuum Milan is a small team with an eclectic bunch of designers and what we all share is a passion for people, design, and critical thinking. We all have hybrid backgrounds, being T-shaped practitioners with very strong vertical superpowers.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an intern to work with our teams on envisioning delightful visual interfaces for digital experiences. Someone who understands how to create great emotional visual directions for digital experiences, and is passionate about looking at it critically, stress-testing the UI and adapting it if necessary, to make sure we can ensure the best interaction and experience for the users. In our design team, passion for User research, Testing and Strategy are a must have. Our practitioners work on projects with a mix of industrial, digital, service, strategy, medical, organizational design.

What You Will Be Doing:

As an EPAM Continuum intern, you’ll be thrown into the mix and will be hands-on in our highly collaborative project teams. Our interns participate in every stage of a project from initial research through ideation, to prototyping and user testing, from the beginning to the end of the project. You’ll learn about the role of customer research in our work, sharpen your skills in rapid prototyping and iterative design, and help us define signature interactive experiences for our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s top talent and collaborate with them on client-facing projects for some of the biggest brands, organizations, and institutions in the world.

EPAM Continuum Milan is a place where you can experiment, propose and get in touch with projects of different natures, we have no fixed industries, it changes continuously.

Who We Are Looking For:

Current student working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or a recent graduate in Graphic Design, Interaction Design or related field, with a portfolio, reflecting strong visual skills and a passion for user interfaces in addition to the following requirements:

• Possess knowledge on how to translate UX hypotheses into visual and interaction design

• Experience with UI and Visual software as Sketch, XD, Photoshop
• Have a passion for visual design and driven by great aesthetical taste
• Comfortable with designing digital experiences for both web and mobile applications
• Proactive thinker with a provocative point of view
• Able to articulate ideas verbally and visually
• Able to code (This is a plus, but not mandatory)

• In possession of a valid residence permit to study or work in Italy

• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing (Italian is a plus)

Timing:

All internships are paid and begin in April 2019.

Current students:

• From 3 to 6-month internships
• Part-time or full-time internship (full time is preferred, but not mandatory)

Recent graduates:

• From 3 to 8-month full-time internship
