ABOUT SEEDLINGS TO SUNFLOWERS:

We are a Non-Profit Childcare and Family Center in Gorham, ME. Our mission is to encourage each child in all areas of development. We believe that every child presented with the opportunity to belong, develop independence, to cultivate generosity and master skills will develop a healthy sense of self, which will enhance their ability to succeed academically and socially.

Our new 5,300 square foot building features 7 classrooms at a max capacity of 91 students school-wide. Our 5,000 square foot outdoor space including an 18x24 foot greenhouse, playgrounds, mud kitchens and sandboxes.

TODDLER TEACHER:

Our Sprouts Room (2-3 yr olds) has 12-14 students. You would be working alongside 2 other teachers including the Lead Teacher of the room. You will implement our cultural awareness and nature-based curriculum as well as prepare students for Kindergarten.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

• 1 or more years of experience as childcare teacher.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Associates Degree Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field

• Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children

• Teamwork, problem solving and decision making skills

• CPR and First Aid Certification (if you don't have one that is fine, but you will be required to take the certification here)

• Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and assume low level postures to interact with children appropriately

• Required fingerprint background check to be completed at https://www.identogo.com if you don't have one completed already.
