Hours: 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM during a regular school day.

Job Description
The Basilica School of Saint Mary, a Catholic Pre-K through eight Parish School in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking Teaching Assistants for primary and elementary grades teachers for the 2023-2024 School year. Teaching Assistants will work closely with their homeroom teacher, in a highly collaborative manner. The Teaching Assistant will support the homeroom teacher and manage a variety of learning activities. The Teaching Assistant, along with the homeroom teacher, is committed to offering excellence in student intellectual, spiritual, and character formation. Qualified candidates will fully embrace the mission of our Catholic school, which recognizes the infinite value of each student, seeks to develop the gifts of all, and nurtures them to be saints, stewards, and scholars, always with an eye to their eternal destiny. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of an associate's degree, an understanding of child development, and an interest in a teaching career.
