New Life Ministries ("NLM"), a non-profit Christian organization, is seeking an experienced full-time Social Media and Graphics Specialist. Starting pay is $21.75 per hour. This full-time position is located in New Life Ministries' Richardson, TX office.

New Life Ministries’ (“NLM”) social media and graphics content are critical factors in raising brand awareness, increasing digital connectivity, making the phones ring, increasing revenue, creating giving opportunities, expanding the New Life Live audience across all channels, growing workshop attendance, growing CNL and the NLM donor base, and motivating people to connect with NLM and its many resources. This role supports various marketing initiatives and campaigns and includes creating graphics content for social media platforms across three of New Life Ministries’ brands: NLM, Life Recovery, and Stephen Arterburn. The position is located in NLM’s Richardson, Texas office.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Participate in the planning, creating, scheduling, and posting of social media on assigned NLM platforms.

· Use design software to create social media graphics according to the social media calendar.

· Work alongside Content Specialist to ensure copy and graphics are aligned.

· Manage NLM’s YouTube account.

· Edit video content for use as reels and posts on social media platforms.

· Provide monthly reporting and analysis to department leadership regarding social media activity and marketing results.

· Provide insight and ideas for increasing followers, engagement, impressions, etc. of social media platforms.

· Ensure layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices.

· Maintain quality control and compliance while active on social media platforms. Follow secure processes for accessing and logging off social media sites.

· Stay informed and capitalize on emerging social media platforms, techniques, technology, and analytic tools.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably with a major in communications and/or marketing.

· At least 2-3 years of recent social media experience in a business setting (non-profit experience a plus), with the ability to write content and post to communities with the NLM brand “voice” and in a ministry-responsible tone.

· Has a strong eye for visual composition and a good understanding of layouts, graphics fundamentals, typography, and the Internet.

· In-depth knowledge and use of popular and emerging social media platforms, marketing tools, and their respective audiences.

· Must be able to learn and master software programs and technology utilized by NLM for marketing and communication purposes (i.e., MS Office programs, Adobe, Canva, Sprout Social, etc.)

· Good understanding of digital marketing current best practices and social media guidelines.

· Exceptional communication skills using the English language with appropriate grammar, composition and spelling. Able to effectively present information, discuss design choices, interpret user requirements, and respond to questions in user-friendly terms.

· Professed Christian who personally and professionally agrees with NLM’s Statement of Faith and is able to accurately communicate the ministry’s purpose with passion and integrity.

· Sound judgment and independent decision-making skills applicable to composing, posting and managing social media communications within the approved framework. Able to work collaboratively with a team, as well as, individually with minimal supervision.

· Creative thinker and problem solver with a good instinct for how to engage an audience. Able to use constructive criticism in a positive way to elevate designs and skill level.

· Impeccable time management, project management and collaboration skills. Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency, and consistently meets deadlines with a friendly can-do attitude that inspires team members to do the same.

· Organized and flexible enough to balance shifting priorities with other routine and key responsibilities.
