Shared Living Provider
Creative Works Systems is looking for persons who are interested in providing a safe and nurturing environment for an adult with intellectual disabilities. Do you like the idea of working from your own home while doing something extremely rewarding? If so then we want to hear from you!
What exactly is Shared Living? Shared Living is a Medicaid-funded program in which the Providers are Independent Contractors that work with a State-approved administrative agency for placement to ensure full compliance with MaineCare rules and regulations. The provider shares their home, providing a safe, inspirational and enriching environment so the individual with intellectual disabilities can strengthen their daily living skills. This support model also allows an individual to have greater access to the natural supports available within their community.
Typical supports provided may include; but are not limited to:

Medication administration

Medical appointments and tracking

Coaching and mentoring to assist individuals to meet personal goals

Support with decision making

Budgeting, transportation and assistance with community access and inclusion

Assistance with activities of daily living

Support overall health and well being

Documentation of services providedCreative Work Systems offers the required oversight to support new providers in meeting standards and benchmarks for you to provide quality support services. We also provide ongoing support, including monthly home visits and availability of agency staff to guide and assist providers with resolving day-to-day challenges that may arise. As a primary resource we will ensure you have the tools and support needed to succeed in this role. As Shared Living providers you will need specific trainings which we will offer to qualified individuals, or if you choose you may take the trainings through an agency of your choice.The required trainings include but not limited to:

8 hour Certified Residential Medication Aide training.We also offer Quarterly Provider meetings to share updates on new rules, conduct trainings, and to foster a supportive and dynamic climate for our Shared Living providers.Providers enter into a contract with the administrative agency and are paid an annual stipend.
