Restaurant Server
Whiskey Taco Foxtrot is downtown Clawson’s favorite spot for delightful craft cocktails and the most amazing tacos you have ever tasted! Our fun and relaxed atmosphere keeps our guests coming back for more.

Taking ownership in March of 2020, we have successfully carried our business through both dine-in closures, gaining a fantastic reputation and a very loyal following.

We are passionate about creating and maintaining a scratch-kitchen menu, providing our guests with a wide variety of options. Our bar program is unmatched, providing delicious and creative craft cocktails and an extensive selection of whiskey and tequila.

We are currently seeking experienced, professional restaurant servers to help complete our team. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant. They will have a positive attitude, a sense of urgency and the ability to be an exceedingly reliable team-member. The best candidate will be someone looking for a excellent opportunity to find their "home" here at WTF, as we highly value longevity and dedication.

A competent and experienced Restaurant Server will not only be able to take and deliver orders; you will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customer's positive experience.

Restaurant Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, greeting them with a warm welcome. You will present menus and offer suggestions, serving food quickly and accurately. Your goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers, ensuring return business and consistency.

Server Responsibilities

Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order

Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages

Take and serve orders accurately

Answer phones, taking carry-out and delivery orders accurately

Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen team members

Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

Issue bills and accept payment

Bus and clean tables and chairs

Partner with fellow team members to complete side-work quickly and thoroughly

Server Requirements

Proven restaurant serving experience

Hands-on experience in cashier duties as a server

Attention to cleanliness and safety

Patience and customer-oriented approach to serving

Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude

Responsible, reliable and trustworthy

Team oriented and supportive to other servers

Reliable transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $3.75 per hour plus serving tips

Duties:

• Greeting and seating customers
• Taking orders
• Delivering food
• Serving alcohol
• Busing, cleaning, and resetting tables
• Answering phone calls
• Placing to-go orders
• Prep or side work
• Preparing bill and processing payment
• Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floors, washing dishes
• Reconciling daily cash transactions

Desired Skill(s):

• Handling cash accurately
• Processing credit cards
• Using Point of Sale software
• Using other restaurant software
• Making change accurately
• Operating a variety of equipment, such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
