How will you make an impact?

The BioProduction Group within Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Remote Senior Pricing Analyst. The Senior Pricing Analyst will help drive a pricing transformation across the BioProduction Group (BPG) that will improve revenue and margin. In addition, the Senior Pricing Analyst will lead initiatives to improve price setting, price getting, and pricing infrastructure/metrics.
What will you do?

  • Implement pricing improvement programs and track financial impact
  • Assist stakeholders in determining product and service pricing based on value
  • Provide analysis and support for pricing initiatives that include setting list prices, target prices, and managing customer discounts
  • Monitor the price waterfall/KPIs and execute corrective actions to drive margin improvement
  • Provide Commercial team with pricing guidance and pricing tool support
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis for business units and commercial team
  • Perform analysis and prepare executive-level reports of findings
  • Support the development and refinement of tools, policies, metrics, and procedures that enhance existing performance
How will you get here?

Education:
  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
Experience:
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with strong Excel and database skills.
  • Proven analytical and statistical problem-solving skills, including data handling and meeting commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability working with large data sets from multiple sources.
  • Strong business orientation with a balance of pricing and strategic management capabilities. A passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a manufacturing and/or distribution business
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and optimally influence and partner. Must relate well to all kinds of people, listen and builds constructive relationships, use subtlety and tact. Shows creativity and innovation in communicating ideas
  • Detail oriented, organized and analytical. Has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad general guidance against a framework of defined business objectives
  • Prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, sophisticated organization is helpful.
  • Strong creativity, drive, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel (~10%)
The salary range estimated for this position in California is $87,900 - $134,250. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
