The Senior Facility Planner assists the Assistant Director in the coordination and development of campus planning projects, space management, campus standards, space planning, furniture specification, signage planning and upkeep, Part I and Part II programs, and other planning documents. This role assists the Assistant Director in planning, research and documentation related to comprehensive plans for building and renovation of teaching and learning spaces. Works with various stakeholders and our technical support group to ensure planning projects meet end-user requirements, institutional goals, and strategic mission.

• Provides development, coordination, and implementation of campus planning projects. Evaluates and develops plans to address campus space needs through space reallocations, alterations, renovations, and new construction. Provides furniture plans and specifications as appropriate.
• Provides drawings, space information, scope of work, FF&E layouts, and coordination for small campus projects. Leads the process for project planning development and maintains the campus project database. Provides guidance to student workers to support the coordination & implementation of campus projects.
• Assists in the development of campus way finding plans. Manages campus signage standard, signage changes, document review, project tracking and implementation. Manages room numbering standard on new projects & review of documents.
• Support space management activities such as validating existing spaces, occupants and tracking of floor plan changes and furniture management. Assists with analysis of campus space for planning purposes. Conduct space planning research to inform planning and design projects.
• Support planning, research, and documentation for comprehensive renovation plans for classrooms, teaching labs, collaborative spaces and research spaces.
• Develop programming documents, space, and resources studies, and assist in the development of the Campus Master Plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Ten years related work experience.
• Prior experience in higher education with space planning, facilities management, architecture, interior design, or related field preferred.
• AutoCAD, R25 and Microsoft Project experience preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, to handle sensitive materials with discretion and tact, to present ideas and information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, to perform mathematical computation. Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities. Develop and participate in the development of best practices.
