About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced IBM Tivoli Netcool and/or ServiceNow Event Management Engineer that is familiar with the full life-cycle of the product – experience with adding base features, customized/enhanced workflow and the integration of new alarm sources. In this position, the engineer would be augmenting an existing event management group to assist in all day-to-day activities including vendor support/management and customer interactions.
What You Will Do:
  • Develops conceptual, logical and physical IT engineering designs, that support the infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects.
  • Completes analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements.
  • Assesses testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans.
  • Senior level position requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices.
Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience with IBM Tivoli Netcool and/or ServiceNow Event Management
    • Experience creating new workflow utilizing automations
    • Experience creating new workflow utilizing Impact policies
    • Experience creating new integrations
      • Ability to take a customer through the full life cycle of ingestion, from initial contact to production
    • Experience working on a multi-tier environment
  • At least three years of experience programming
    • Preferably 3 years of javascript
  • Understanding of the technical details of syslog, SNMP and REST API
  • At least one year of UNIX system administration
  • Understanding, and ability to work within
    • a SCRUM/KANBAN/Agile environment
    • CI/CD
  • Willing and able to participate in a semi-frequent on-call rotation

  • The national hiring range for the Senior Event Management Automation Engineer is $103,400 - $129,200 annually. For candidates in certain markets (Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; New York City Metro Area, Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA), the listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
