Purpose:

Installation and Configuration of Technical Hardware and Software at the Loews Hotels Data Centers and Loews Hotels Properties. Must demonstrate strong understanding of the business and technical environment to evaluate new technical products.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on end user and data center technologies including the design, configuration, integration and deployment of enterprise hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Enhance and maintain data center infrastructure and end user platforms and processes including server and desktop virtualization, hyper converged technology, SAN - Server - Desktop deployment and management, Windows operating Systems, Backup and Recovery solutions, and Microsoft and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Assist with the health, performance, stabilization and tuning of all data center Infrastructure and end user technologies.
  • Work with senior leadership on the research and analysis of emerging technologies that enhance infrastructure capabilities and support current and future business objectives. Participate and contribute on enterprise technology evaluations and roadmap discussions with third party vendors.
  • Assess existing datacenter and end user technologies to establish opportunities for improved infrastructure protection controls. Partner with security teams to ensure security solutions, policies and procedures are sufficient to meet and respond to threats to our data and endpoint infrastructure.
  • Recommend and provide technical support processes, metrics and SLAs

  • Support and document the implementation of approved infrastructure and endpoint hardware and software components. Oversee projects from inception to closure ensuring they are completed according to business requirements and stakeholder standards.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate Governance, Security-Risk and Audit policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform continuous mentorship and development of junior staff members. Be a point of contact for escalation and engagement.
  • Develop technical documentation, policies, and procedures for hardware and software infrastructure use and support. Communicate technical standards to Information Technology teams and junior team members.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • Required to attend all training sessions and meetings
  • Overnight Travel as required

Qualifications:

  • 5 years + of experience in a datacenter enterprise environment
  • 2 years + of experience as a technical project lead and primary support role
  • In depth knowledge of data center and end user technology, SAN/Server/Desktop deployment and Management, Windows operating systems, Backup and Recovery solutions, and Microsoft and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Extensive hands on experience and expertise in the following areas:Configuration and operation of Windows 10, 2012, 2016, and 2022 Operating Systems

Windows Services to include DHCP, DNS, Active Directory and Group Policy
Microsoft ADFS and MFA Technology
Cloud Platforms – Azure Active Directory, SSO and associated components
Server Network and RAID Technologies
End user Desktop imaging and management
Server and Desktop patch management
B/R, D/R and Business Continuity best practices
Hardware and Software Infrastructure Monitor and Alert technologies
Microsoft Server and Desktop O/S Hardening best practices
Asset and Inventory Management
Microsoft Active Directory, MAC OS, Virtual Appliances and associated components
Security Audits and Compliance

  • Knowledge of Incident Response – process and procedures
  • Solid understanding of various governance frameworks such as ITIL and NIST
  • Expertise in Endpoint Security best practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent problem and resolution skills

Education:

  • 4 Year Degree or / Technical Degree or relevant experience
  • Applicable Technologies Certifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of hardware and software Infrastructure technologies to include Lenovo, Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Rubrik, Service Now CMDB / Asset Management, and Microsoft Solutions.
  • Experience in retail, travel, restaurants, or hospitality
  • Experience in compliance with PCI and SOX
