About Lyra Health
Lyra is transforming mental health care through technology with a human touch to help people feel emotionally healthy at work and at home. We work with industry leaders, such as Morgan Stanley, Uber, Amgen, and other Fortune 500 companies, to improve access to effective, high-quality mental health care for their employees and their families. With our innovative digital care platform and global provider network, 10 million people can receive the best care and feel better, faster. Founded by David Ebersman, former CFO of Facebook and Genentech, Lyra has raised more than $900 million.

About The Role
Lyra is at the forefront of increasing access to evidence-based, efficacious mental health services on a large scale. Lyra has developed innovative blended models of coaching and psychotherapy that combine leading clinical expertise with routine outcomes monitoring and engaging clinical digital tools. One of Lyra’s core values is to Follow the Science. Ignoring the science has been a problem for behavioral health. Lyra is committed to following the best clinical evidence. We are guided by facts, certain that quality matters, and committed to publishing our results. We don’t ignore the data.

We are looking for a senior clinical health economics researcher with a passion for evaluating the economic value and return on investment (ROI) for clinical and well-being services in behavioral health. You will be a member of a highly skilled, fun, efficient, and collaborative team with an established track record for conducting, evaluating, and publishing peer-reviewed clinical research for Lyra’s programs. In this role, you will work closely with other clinical researchers, psychologists, health economists, and data scientists. By evaluating programs that reach hundreds of thousands of individuals, your work will help create meaningful positive change on a large scale.

  • Ability to examine and digest clinical and health economics literature, with strong understanding of cost-effectiveness and health economics analysis methods and outcomes
  • Strong understanding of payer environment in the United States, including knowledge of behavioral health care coverage, claims, groupers, reimbursement, pricing, value drivers, and health policy
  • Advanced training and experience with research methods, study design, and statistics (e.g., propensity score matching, modeling)
  • Ability to generate datasets using queries, conduct statistical analyses, and maintain documentation using common statistical languages and packages (e.g., R, SQL, Python)
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills, who can communicate research findings in an easy-to-understand manner
