The systems architect works with systems which are comprised of multiple advanced, complex technical products and technologies. Integration with internal and external systems will be a key focus along with aligning teams to our shared technical direction and partnering with multiple teams to communicate, collaborate and coordinate the solution along with its architecture, interfaces, assumptions, economic framework, and context.

The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated record of accomplishment of success as a change agent as well as critical skills in developing partnerships, modeling behaviors and help drive future innovation of software solutions.

As our Systems Architect, you will:

• Analyze, define, and decide on strategy, approaches, and solution intent to support long-term business goals with short and long-term roadmap capabilities and alignment
• Advise on tools, frameworks, hardware, software, principles, and practices to meet business objectives
• Build out the planned architectural model based on business requirements to meet the desired outcome including understanding the economic aspects of each model as well as alternatives
• Consult and advise product teams to assist with delivery of product outcomes
• Evaluate integrations with existing systems and interfaces with internal and external consumers
• Participate in planning, definition, high-level design, proof-of-concepts for the software solution and explore solution alternatives as well as create and demonstrate solutions through proof-of-concepts, knowledge sharing and mentoring
• Enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline through appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy
• Establish critical NFRs at the systems level and architectural strategies to meet satisfy these measures
• Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility
• Work through the entire life cycle of planning, acquisition and deployment, operation management and maintaining system integrity
• Plan and develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities and map these to strategic objectives Skills and Experience for this position:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related practical experience
• 7+ years of experience in a Software Architecture or Principal Engineer related position
• Working knowledge and experience with DevOps, Cloud, Observability and modern technologies and practices to drive optimization in existing and new software solutions
• Experience with domain modelling, domain driven design (DDD), and modeling of event-based systems
• Knowledge of micro-service topologies, managing architectural debt and governance, API strategies and full systems lifecycles both from the SDLC and Architecture viewpoints Preferred
• A record of accomplishment of leadership by leading architectural communities of practice, workshops and mentoring teams and engineers as well as facilitating the bridge between organizational areas
• Demonstration of defining metrics, OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), risk assessments and related information to demonstrate outcomes of decisions
• Proven experience developing strategic, business-oriented software architecture plans for cloud-native, scalable and innovative solutions and modernization of existing systems
• Strong knowledge of information security and privacy best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization from the C-suite to engineers •Above-average analytical, conceptual, and troubleshooting abilities •Experience conducting technology, trends, standards, and product research
• A solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks under pressure and with constraints
