Mackinac Island Ferry Company is the largest Ferry company providing passenger and freight transportation to beautiful
Mackinac Island. This position is located in scenic Northern Michigan and is a popular tourist and historical destination.
Mackinac Island Ferry Company is currently seeking friendly, energetic and customer orientated
Sellers to work with us for the 2023 Season! This person would be responsible for selling tickets, passes and merchandise. Season is April thru the end of October.

Your Contributions to the Crew
- Welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Greet customers, answer questions and anticipate their needs
- Sell and communicate our services & goods to customers regarding ferry schedules, ticket pricing, promotions and other general information regarding their adventure.
- Respond to multi-line phone system, emails and other communications
- Accurately and efficiently operates ticket Point of Service (POS) System
- Process ticket & gift store sales transactions
- Recognize & arrange accommodations for guests with special needs or concerns
- Balance cash drawer
- Restock inventory
- Maintain clean and orderly work environment
- Maintaining Star Line standards of appearance and cleanliness
- Participate and apply procedural and safety training
Qualifications
- Must be at least 14 years of age
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong math skills, attention to detail
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull and lift items up to 65 pounds.
- Strong customer service actively looks for ways to assist customers & coworkers.
- Pass background checks, drug & alcohol testing as mandated by US Coast Guard.
- Available to work peak tourist times including nights, weekends & holidays
