Sales Engineer – Mechanical Services Company – Base Salary to 55k/year - Rochester, NY

• Our client, a highly reputable HVAC Mechanical Services Provider in the Northeast who has been in major growth-mode the past few years, is seeking to add another talented Sales Engineer to their team in Rochester, New York. This person will be responsible for proactively expanding the commercial HVAC systems install business in the local market while providing superior customer service to both existing and new customers. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for running, scheduling, and organizing Tier 1 and Tier 2 sales leads as assigned.
• Accountable for running simple load calculations on commercial spaces to determine proper HVAC system type from a rough design that will ensure accurate cost for job proposal.
• Maintain knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping – utilizing their on-site training school!
• Communicate directly with clients to convey all essential job information and change orders.
• Manage sold jobs per contractual agreement to ensure quality product and satisfactory performance has been met.
• Collaborate with Commercial Service Department to create planned maintenance contracts upon completion of jobs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred; or minimum of 3+ years equivalent experience
• Prior HVAC coursework or experience required
• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
• Results driven and customer-focused decision making
• Exceptional at relationship building

Compensation: This position offers a base salary up to 55k/year and uncapped commissions! Other benefits include health, dental, life, 401k, PTO and a vehicle allowance.
