Role Summary:

  • Ensure, coordinate and perform the pricing of new projects of passenger cars of the Volkswagen Group
  • Ensure, coordinate and perform financial evaluations of product developments as a decision support for decision-making committees (e.g. VAP, PK) and management board
  • Profit-orientation of new products aiming at a financially robust planning
  • Co-determination of long term price strategies and ensuring sales approaches for new products
  • Decision recommendation concerning the pricing of new products
  • Generate and develop reports and analyses for a financially orientated product policy

Role Responsibilities:

Independent work and evaluation of complex business processes in course of pricing of product developments and to coordinate with other departments (55%):

  • Profit distribution calculation (‘Paletten’-calculation)
  • Product decision calculation (PER) for PSK and other decision-making committees
  • Determination of prices and price components
  • Profit-improvement concerning product and offer policies
  • Evaluation of price and product measures to reduce complexity

Developing and defining suggestions to ensure the aims of the group and to coordinate those with business partners (15%):

  • Data of calculation for financial evaluations
  • Pre-calculations or in comparison for an economic interpretation
  • Competitive comparisons and field analysis (volumes and prices)
  • Price premises for budget planning or planning round
  • Price negotiations in consideration of competitor’s behavior, costs and changes in currency rates

Independent managing of special tasks according to own experience and knowledge (30%):

  • Developing of new concepts and principles concerning the financial evaluation:
  • Methods and processes of price calculation and financial statements
  • Decision calculations for price and product measures including criteria for evaluation measures of profit improvement within the process of market planning

Qualiications:

Years of Experience:

  • 2-4 years

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science / Business Administration - required
  • Master of Science / Business Administration - desired

Skills:

  • Good analytical capability
  • High level of reliability
  • Good communication skills
  • Good automotive knowledge
  • High level of assertiveness
  • Excellent language skills (English/German/Spanish)

Specialized Skills - Required:

  • Good knowledge of PEP process
  • Excellent office knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point incl. ThinkCell)
  • Good system skills (EBCON, MBV, COMPAS, eVPS, PISA)
  • Good knowledge of profit contribution calculations (Palette, PER)

Work Flexibility:

  • Varying working hours due to project driven workload
  • Good stress resistance
