CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are seeking an experienced level S/4HANA Data Engineer to join a talented, energetic application development team, making a measurable impact with the work you do every day. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, exceptional analytical problem-solving skills and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• 
  Join a core team to deliver solutions related to SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based technologies from end-to-end (data ingestion to consumption).
• Develop and maintain scalable and reusable data models through CDS views that will ingest and transform data from standard and custom S/4 sources.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements for automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Develop an understanding of business processes, data flows and strategy.
• Host and participate in development of prototype solutions to support and prove business and technology concepts.
• Attend Data Engineering/SAP user groups, training, or conferences to learn new technologies and skills.
• Adhere to programming/development deadlines as determined by senior team member.
• Collaborate with business, analytical teams, and data scientist to improve efficiency, increase the applicability of predictive models, and help translate ad-hoc analyses into scalable data delivery solutions.
• Consulting on data ingestion, data modeling, security, and capabilities.
• Manage the innovation cycle of conducting analyses, generating insights.
• Perform technical reviews of designs and code development by other team members.
• Work closely with team members to establish SAP Data Engineering community of best practices.
• Support business decisions with ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 
  High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience in Database and application development in one or more of the following:
  • Data Integration
  • Data Modeling
  • ABAP Development
  • Test driven Development
• 1+ years of experience with the following:
  • SAP S/4HANA 1909+ Platform Experience
    • CDS view development for embedded analytics through customization of S/4 Standard CDS Content
    • Creation of ABAP Classes and Programs leveraged in analytical CDS views

Additional Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's degree preferred in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field
• Experience with ABAP programming related to BW4/HANA such as AMDP, start, end and expert routines
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Fiori Embedded Analytics, and Power BI
• Experience in requirement gathering and translating functional specifications into technical specifications
• Experience working with Focused Build for SAP Solution Manager within a project setting
• Experience with Cloud Based Technology from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
