We are hiring for an Automation Robotics Engineer in our Davidson, NC office. This resource will be responsible in the selection and programming of Industrial Robots for automating assembly line at US manufacturing plants.



Responsibilities:

  • Experience in Fanuc/ABB robots
  • Experience in working with Cobots
  • Experience in robotic applications like material handling, self-piercing rivet guns, plasma/laser cutting, sealant, MIG, spot, and laser welding.
  • Experience in Programming Robot paths
  • Experience in offline Robot programming
  • Hands on experience in setting up of Robots and configuring Robot IO’s
  • Experience in the off-line robotic simulation process in conjunction with PLC I/O‘s and application data.
  • Hands on experience in interfacing safety devices like E-Stops, light curtain, area scanners with robot programming
  • Hands on experience in interfacing with PLC, remote IO’s and HMI
  • Experience in exchanging tags and data between Robots and PLC’s through commonly used industrial protocols like Ethernet IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus etc.,
  • Knowledge on safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards
  • Knowledge on setting up base structures for robot installation according to company standards
  • Troubleshoot and update Robot programs based on component change/manufacturing needs
  • Vendor identification, co-ordination and follow up
  • Managing budget, schedule, resources & project risks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be an individual contributor for project delivery
  • Mentoring the team for timely delivery with superior quality
  • Electromechanical background and should have minimum 8-10 years of experience.
  • Deep knowledge of automation applications with successful development and deployment experience
  • Deep knowledge of Digital connectivity / IIoT and sensor technology
  • Desired skills

  • Knowledge on End of Arm Tooling Design.
  • Experience in interfacing Vision systems with Robotic applications
  • Hands on experience of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens…)
  • Experience in system integration and testing of automated test equipment’s
  • Basic knowledge on C, Python Scripting and DB interface
  • Project management knowledge
  • SPM knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences
  • Manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
  • Ensure effective and efficient completion of projects by planning and implementing courses of action with other functions and key stakeholders
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Willing to be mobile and travel domestically and globally
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Base Compensation Range is $70,000 to $144,000.
