Job description

Functioning under the clinical guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the medical assistant participates in the assessment and care of clinic patients. This involves a variety of tasks requiring judgment born of a solid knowledge and expertise in general nursing theory. Primary responsibility is to assist in the assessment and care of patients within the scope of her/his training limitations. May perform limited exams, take vital signs or perform laboratory tests within regulatory limitations.

EDUCATION: High school graduation and completion of a formal program which results in the designation of medical assistant. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. Current CPR certification required.

SKILLS: One to three years experience as a CMA/RMA in a family practice or community health care setting strongly preferred.

HOURS: Full Time, 40 hours a week.

LOCATION: Hartsville, Care Innovation
