Description
  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of strategies to accomplish the Custodial Department mission.
  • Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain operations data.
  • Develop and review annual operating budgets; determine requirements for personnel, supplies, materials, and equipment, monitor expenditures to ensure consistency with departmental objectives and compliance with established budgets.
  • Monitor and evaluate personnel to ensure project completion, technical accuracy and compliance with code requirements, and adherence to departmental and district policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards.. Implement a comprehensive custodial quality assurance program.
  • Develop and implement performance measurement tools to accurately assess effectiveness of service delivery. Provides direction, management and supervision to ensure compliance with federal state and local codes and regulations and District standards.
  • Recommend improvements and enhancements to existing processes, procedures, and policies in the spirit of continuous improvement while meeting federal, state and local mandates.
  • Provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers and ensure the District’s 4 Core are practiced daily. Respond to all emails, phone calls, and requests within 24 hours. If a request cannot be met within 24 hours, work with requester on a timeframe that will satisfy the need.
  • Work closely and correspond with other departments such as Energy Management & Sustainability, Maintenance Services, Construction Services, MEP, and Grounds & Athletics.
  • Ensure certain human resource functions are performed in accordance with District policies and procedures and in alliance with Human Capital Management, including but not limited to position control, orienting, and monitor all dispute resolutions and employee terminations.
  • Achieve desired results by serving as a liaison between Operations and the Learning Community through utilization of shared employees.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited university required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and a record that meets the district’s standard required
  • Minimum of five (5) years directly related experience in either educational institutions, health care, or hospitality industry.
  • Five years or more of direct Supervisory experience
  • Proven experience of custodial operation requirements for a large, multi-site organization. organizing resources
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and budget and procurement procedures.
