We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for a Residential Administrative Assistant to join one of our community mental health providers!

Summary:

This position will be required to perform a variety of administrative services for the Residential/Respite clients and program. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for ensuring authorizations are completed and submitted on time. This position will help monitor and ensure that all admission and discharge paperwork is complete. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for tracking a variety of things at the direction Program Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect required information for submissions authorizing payment of residential and respite clients.
  • Maintain working relationship with Comagine to ensure accurate submissions of authorization packets as rules change.
  • Work with the billing department to ensure that all services are billed correctly.
  • Assist with referral packets to Adult Foster Homes.
  • Assist with discharge and transition planning.
  • Run insurance verification (MMIS) prior to the date of admission.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager all admissions and extensions.
  • Work with the Assistant Manager to complete residential/respite admit packet to ensure completion and updates so they can be sent off for authorization.
  • Participate in regular team and agency meetings
  • Track the LSI, LOCUS, Treatment Plan, and Mental Health Assessment for each resident to ensure they are current and to help schedule when they are due.
  • Help maintain productivity in keeping with agency expectations and standards.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
  • The ability to remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the agency.
  • Other duties as assigned and consistent with the Assistant Program Manager position.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years prior experience as billing clerk or similar work with money handling or processing duties.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and its application to insurance billing.
  • Experienced working with confidential information.
  • Ability to understand and appropriately apply contractual language in various situations.
  • Experienced at observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Experience with compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and coding.
  • Document/record Information to include entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
  • Interact with computers and use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Perform administrative activities such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
