Release of Information Specialist / 58112

Work from a well renowned hospital assisting with the release of medical records.

HOURS: Monday – Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

PAY RATE: $16.00/hr.

Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Process requests forms in a timely and efficient manner
• Organize records and documents
• Read and interpret medical records, authorizations and forms
• Attend to training sessions
• Supports the resolution of compliance issues in a timely manner
• Ability to handle high volume of inbound calls

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Some college preferred
• Healthcare experienced preferred
• RHIT certification preferred
• 2+ years of administrative and medical record experience
• Proficient computer skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively and independently
