We are a small family like team looking for a stellar Veterinary technician/ Veterinary assistant to join our experienced compassionate team. Camino Alto Veterinary hospital has remarkable community reputation and our compassion shows in each and every appointment we see. Our facility is modern and well equipped and our team has been together for few years. We are well equipped modern practice with very efficient team capable of handling myriad of cases from general wellness, routine and complicated surgical cases to emergency cases. We are looking for a friendly, energetic and dedicated candidate, that understands the bond of clients with their pets and is clearly a people person. Ideal candidate will be efficient, punctual, team player and fast learner. We are willing to train the right person, or someone already enrolled in Veterinary technician program. This practice has trained 2 RVT's in last few years, and we understand the importance of professional/career growth, and this position could jump start your career if you are currently pursuing Veterinary technician school or interested in one in near future. Also, this position is ideal for registered Veterinary Technician!

Duties will include -

Provides compassionate care to patients and clients -Keeps accurate medical records in accordance hospital policy -Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas -Performs physical assessments and records observations -Restrains pets -Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients -Explains necessary follow up and homecare instructions -Stocks clinic treatment area and exams rooms and informs inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered -Assists the Veterinarian in medical, surgical and dental procedures; prepares patients for surgery; monitors anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids -Cares for all surgical materials; keeping the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery.

Hourly compensation depends on your experience and expertise, we will offer medical insurance, paid time off, CE re-imbursement & bonus to the right candidate.
