Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to join our team on a 13-week renewable contract. The Registered Nurse Manager will work in the Nurse Supervisors unit (Unit 2050.8725) and will be responsible for night shift coverage (3x12-Hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend (EOW) coverage required. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisor experience, be proficient in using EMR (Meditech), hold ACLS certification, and have experience with Tele and Vents. We welcome first-time travelers for this position.

COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination is required as per facility guidelines, with medical exemptions being the only exception. Flu vaccination is also required as per facility guidelines, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous supervisor experience
• ACLS certification
• Experience with EMR (Meditech), Tele, and Vents
• Willingness to work night shifts with EOW coverage
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities :

• Provide oversight and leadership to the Nurse Supervisors unit during night shifts (3x12-Hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30).
• Ensure smooth and efficient operations of the unit, including staffing, patient care assignments, and workflow management.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and administrators, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patients' condition, administer medications, and provide treatments as needed.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system (such as Meditech) for documentation, charting, and communication.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards, as well as regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Respond to emergencies, assess and manage crisis situations, and provide critical care as necessary.
• Collaborate with infection control and quality improvement teams to ensure infection control protocols and quality measures are followed.
• Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices, new protocols, and updates in nursing standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, quality audits, and other departmental or hospital-wide initiatives.
• Serve as a resource and point of contact for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, addressing their concerns and resolving conflicts.
• Stay updated with current trends, research, and advancements in nursing practice and incorporate evidence-based practice into clinical care.
• Participate in unit/department meetings, committees, and interdisciplinary rounds as required.
• Demonstrate professionalism, ethical behavior, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
