Responsibilities:

Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Receptionist position.

The Receptionist cordially greets and receives hospital guests, ascertains their needs, and appropriately directs visitors. This position helps operate the hospital switchboard in the a professional manner and correctly routes calls. The Receptionist performs admission registration process and a variety of clerical duties.


Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors to the hospital in a warm and helpful manner. Maintain visitor log, passes and adherence to established procedure.
  • Protects confidentiality of hospital information and hospitalized patients information, strictly adheres to privacy and patient rights procedures.
  • Performs admission procedures, demonstrating comprehension of admission forms and facility to answer patient/visitor questions regarding the process.

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Accurate typing skills and previous office experience.
