As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for implementing QOS, improving PPAP metrics and teaming with the Plants/OEM customers to improve quality performance. In this role you will have 5+ direct reports and domestic travel.

• Develop and document a short and long-term quality plan identifying objectives that address the highest priority elements of the quality system.
• Represents the needs of the customer to address quality requirements, such as selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventative actions, product design and development.
• Determine and document proper processing parameters and assist in auditing of the same.
• Develop and implement corporate standardization activities.
• Maintain a current knowledge of quality assurance and control techniques.
• Addresses and follows through with in-house and customer issues.
• Identification and analysis of total quality costs including prevention, appraisal, internal and external costs and for formulating action plans to reduce these costs.
• Administration of the measuring equipment system including planning, designing, obtaining and calibration of such equipment.
• Provide a preventative method of controlling quality through SPC, problem solving and prevention techniques, i.e., inspection of raw material; work in process and finished goods.
• Serve as driver and coordinator for internal quality systems audits and corresponding corrective action and improvement activities.
• Provides direct leadership and supervises the Quality Department.
• Ability to identify, select, train and coach Quality and Management talent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or five years plus related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Minimum eight (8) years as a Quality Assurance Manager or equivalent experience.
• Experience improving PPAP metrics and teaming with OEM customers/Plant Quality Mgrs to resolve issues.
• Knowledge of quality tools, practices, systems and corresponding integration.
• Excellent procedure development, writing, organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have GD&T, PPAP, APQP, TS and other customer specific requirements.
• Flexibility to travel.
• Advance proficiency with MS Office, Quality Systems (e.g., ), and ERP Systems.
