In this role you will:

We are currently seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners with previous addiction experience. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible under direction of a physician for providing general clinical care including assessments, medication management and medication administration. The incumbent will work autonomously, collaborating with physicians, peers and others in the health care community. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.

What qualifications do you need:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited advanced Nurse Practitioner program in Psychiatric-Mental Health with NYS RN and NP licenses.
• At least One-Two (1-2) years' experience working in addiction medicine or substance use treatment programs.
• Valid DEA registration.
• BLS certification.
• Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to program and staff needs.
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
